Common Fault: Grip Hand In Wrong Position

At that magical moment of impact when the tip hits the cue ball, the back arm/grip hand needs to be perpendicular to the cue. This helps bring the timing of the grip together and prevents the pendulum effect of the cue - so you hit the cue ball in the intended position.

A common error I see with players is their grip hand is too far down the butt of the cue. This causes havoc on how they deliver the cue.

The position of the grip hand on the cue is dictated by the length of the bridge. So, the closer the bridge hand is to the cue ball, the shorter the grip position needs to be.
